History
Our story - is the history of TELIYA International Society
Teenage Life and Young Adults International (TELIYA International) Society
TELIYA International is a not-for-profit society based in Whitehorse, Yukon, that works in cultural, educational, and social development at local and international levels. TELIYA has been committed to and involved in diverse activities since its formation in 2010, most notably in leadership speaking programs in schools and in taking young Yukoners to the United Nations Headquarters in New York for the UN’s Youth Assembly, the Annual Yukon African Music Festival, and the Yukon African Cultural Centre’s series of workshops. Also, TELIYA International delivers presentations on social change, diversity, and inclusion in schools and other venues, creating awareness about leadership, music, youth empowerment, Black History Month, and the African continent and culture. TELIYA International is a multicultural organization with a diverse executive board and volunteer force.
